Founded in 2013, by the brothers André and Daniel Moral, the Bike Tour SP is a free bike ride formed by participants that pedal accompanied by two monitors and with an audio equipment that informs data and curiosities of the cultural attractions of the city, in Portuguese and English. Bike Tour SP lends bikes, helmets and other safety equipment.
The so-called New Center is the downtown area located from the Anhangabaú Valley, having in Viaduto do Chá its great splitter called Centro Velho, where are the Cathedral Square and the São Bento Monastery. Its name has a simple justification: in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, it was the part of the center with newer buildings, to where it expanded at that time.
In contrast to the older buildings of the old center, many related to the founding of the city, such as the Pateo do Colégio, the new center began to house buildings of more eclectic lines and that followed the art-déco, architectural movement in vogue from the decade one thousand nine hundred and twenty. More than that, the constructions of the new center evidenced the economic moment that lived São Paulo at that time, with its elites enriched by the coffee cycle.
